(August 21, 2021, 11:09 pm)We hired Carmana to conduct renovations to our 20-year old house, specifically the kitchen and both the ensuite and main bathrooms. Carmana principals Paul and Jillian did all the design work for the main bathroom based on our wants and needs, and they helped select materials and finishes for the whole project, confirming our own ideas and finishing choices, but also steering us gently towards what would look and function best if we were "not quite there yet". The decision-making took a matter of a few short hours. Procurement of a few items and the construction itself were delayed briefly due to the Covid-19 situation, but everything ran substantially to schedule. The project was completed within what we thought was a very reasonable time considering its complexity. The quality of the finished work is outstanding, and we could not be happier with the results! We feel we received excellent value for the money we spent, though the project was not inexpensive. The house looks and feels up-to-date, and it all works beautifully. Importantly, we found Paul and his crews and subcontractors not only technically excellent but also eminently easy to deal with, honest, straightforward, reliable, tidy, and clean. We never had anything to clean up after the crew had finished their day's work. They always showed up on time, when they said they would, and went about their work as quietly as possible. They were also extremely understanding of--and always accommodated--our need for predictability, so that we could run our lives with minimal negative impact from the construction. In summary, we have absolutely no qualms about giving our highest possible recommendation to Carmana for projects of this kind and scope. Congratulations Carmana on a project so very, very well done!

(November 22, 2020, 2:54 pm)We had Carmana Home Improvements do some renovations to our home in Parksville. The renovations included, among other things, the removal of a tub and the installation of a large walk-in shower. The result is beautiful and the work is top quality.
Paul, Jillian and their team were wonderful to work with and a pleasure to have in the house. Great care was taken to protect floors and to clean up as they went along. Jillian's help shopping for tile and fixtures was an added bonus. Paul returned all calls promptly, remembered everything we said we wanted and made sure we got it. His cheerful and positive personality made the whole experience pleasant.

(January 14, 2020, 4:47 pm)This is the second home that we have had Carmana work on. Paul and his team do an excellent job. We trust Paul to give us a fair quote and he always gives us options before and during the process. We had two bathrooms completely redone with heated floors, toilets/bidet, showers and a separate bathtub. We had all new lighting installed on our main floor and office. Tiling done around the fireplace too. The tile setter like the rest of the trades Paul works with did an awesome job. There was a lot of fussy electric work and plumbing on this project. Pauls team take time to cover the floors and put in plastic/cover/zip doors to keep your home as protected as possible. They also clean up at the end of each work day. We highly recommend Carmana.

They were very helpful and considerate, taking care to cover floors and attend to everything we requested. They even provided us with completion of an extra project which we very much appreciated.
