(December 1, 2020, 6:47 pm)Last year went for the first time, was amazing to see the sand sculptures. The time and effort needed to create this amazing designs. Not sure why I have never been before, shame it was cancelled this year, fingers crossed for next year.

(January 16, 2020, 6:56 am)This is something you've got to check out if you live on Vancouver Island and have never been to Parksville. The sand sculptures are amazing, it's hard to believe such incredible structures could be built... and out of sand no less! I recommend checking out this competition and then spending some time at the beach and playground too. Great way to spend an afternoon or day!

(July 29, 2019, 11:44 pm)This annual event is a crowd pleaser! You can wander around the sculptures and read about the artists. Admission is by donation (they recommend $4.00) and you can vote for your favourite. The level of talent is amazing - we try to go every year. Free parking, food trucks and a beautiful beach are nearby.
