I was calling various insulation companies to provide me with quotes to insulate the crawlspace in my older duplex and EcoTek was the first company to say they would provide me with an estimate. The other companies that I had contacted declined my request as they either only worked on new construction or did not do work in crawlspaces, I was given reasons for this as "they have an older crew and it hurts their knees" to "my guys do not like spiders". EcoTek promptly showed up and provided an estimate and then scheduled a date for the work to be completed. I am very pleased with their work as Oliver was very professional, they did a very neat job and did not leave any mess after the work was completed, and most of all my wood floors are no longer cold. I had a carpenter doing work at my home and needed to access my crawlspace and he commented on what a thorough and professional job they did with the insulation. Oliver also provided an invoice that contained all the information required for me to submit my home insulation grant, which will result in me receiving over a third of the cost refunded. My wife and I were looking for an insulation solution for a small wine cellar that we were building in our home. We had struggled in finding a high R value solution that was reasonably vapour tight using tradition insulation methods such as fiberglass or Styrofoam panels.

When a professional cellar design company suggested that we consider spray foam, I contacted EcoTek Spray Foam and asked for a quote. We were expecting the price to be through the roof, but it was very reasonable - actually cheaper than several other options once costs for things like vapour barriers and fittings were considered.

Once we started the project, the team at EcoTek Spray Foam were great. They coached our carpenter on what needed to be done to make the room insulation as effective as possible. They also conducted a pre-foaming inspection of the site that resulted in a number of carpentry improvements. On the day of foaming, they arrived on time and installed the insulation cleanly and efficiently. A few days later our carpenter was able to easily install the drywall and finish the room.

It has now been two months since the foaming and the cellar is up and running. There is absolutely no smell from the foam (this really matters for wine storage) and the insulation effectiveness is outstanding - our cooling unit rarely needs to run.
