(April 27, 2020, 5:59 pm)I've had to call animal control a few times, they're always knowledgeable and very helpful. I wish they had longer hours because animals get loose after business hours but that doesn't reflect the service that they offer when they are open :-)

(July 24, 2018, 1:06 am)About six years ago we rescued a big, ten month old black and white kitty, from the Nanaimo Animal shelter, who we named Perry. We loved him so much as he was so special. He loved all animals, from dogs to deer. He was so smart. Perry passed away on Tuesday, July17 at 10:40 p.m. He died from either a heart attack or a blood clot going into his lung. It was quick and hopefully he didn't suffer. He was my strength after my husband died in February. He is missed by everyone who met him. I took him for friendly visits to the Cat Clinic so he could visit with the staff there. He would run through the door and right to the staff for his pats and love. He was so special.
