(December 8, 2020, 9:28 am)Big box store for hunting and fishing. Nothing special. Decent selection ranging from junk to high quality. Firearms department pretty much useless at answering the phone and don’t trust their store inventory online. If you can help it do yourself a favour and hit one of the many locally owned outdoor stores where you’ll get highly experienced sales staff, and by experienced I mean experienced in the activity of hunting/fishing/etc. Not just sales. Last time I asked about gloves. The guy said these were all the gloves in the store. After wandering for half an hour or so I found 5 other places where they had gloves, so I have a hard time trusting the knowledge level of their sales people. Just sayin’. For the necessities they’re just fine. Probably like most big box stores sometimes you have a 5 star experience, and other times 1 star is too much.

(November 17, 2020, 3:27 pm)I'm glad there isn't a Cabela's in Victoria - otherwise I'd be broke. It's a typical Cabela's - if you like the outdoors, they've got what you want (or can get it). The inventory has improved further since Bass Pro bought them out - a pleasant surprise, overall.

(October 23, 2020, 2:22 am)I love the store. It’s spacious and bright and well stocked. The salespeople are generally great. Very helpful and friendly. However there are some indifferent staff in the fishing section that need a boost.
But I really hate how they try to “bum” the extra change from you for a donation. I am already in the store and buying their stuff. The store is making a profit.
If you want money to donate Cabela, take it from the profit that you are making and donate it if you wish.
Other than that I think the store is great. -

(October 22, 2020, 1:01 am)Cabela's is a great spot to get just about everything. I purchased a great Yeti cooler from here and the staff was extremely helpful in finding me the colour I wanted. Friendly and helpful.
