Bike is fantastic- when the brakes don't fail. Seat it okay, but could be better. Suspension is great, light is bright, throttle is terrific, and the amount of push you get from the pedal assist up hills makes commuting a breeze. The front brakes failed in the first month suddenly when I was in traffic and almost resulted in me getting hit by a truck, so I called the company right away. They were polite, apologetic, but didn't seem to know how to handle a customer with a new $1500 with brakes that stopped working out of the blue.

I got a different responses from their employees, at first saying they'd pick up my bike and repair it, but then told me that they weren't able to for liability reasons- which I understand. They then asked if I could ride it over to their shop, but that's over 25km away, and it's not safe to ride that far on one set of functioning brakes.

We ended up coming to the conclusion that I'd just have to take it to a local shop and get it repaired, to which Spark Bikes offered my $50 towards the repairs. The issue was a leak in the hydraulics, so a simple brake bleed did the trick- which was done by Lynn Valley Bikes for $10.50 and was done within 5 hours of it being dropped off. Now it works like new.

I took the bike out in the snow and ice this morning, and as long as you stick to main roads and not bike paths where the plows push all the snow, you can ride this thing long distances easily, and the battery lasts a very, very long time. 20km downhill and I still had 80%, and 20km uphill leaves me with 60%. Great in all weather, and the fat tires make the control and traction incredible.

Overall, the bike is a monster on the road and on trails. When it works, it's without a doubt the best investment I've made, and is a blast to take out. Nothing feels better than cutting my commute in half and blowing past traffic every day of the week. The service was a bit all over the place and I felt they weren't prepared for one of their bikes failing so fast, but they were very polite and apologetic, and treated me with respect and made sure that safety was the number 1 focus of our communications.

    Service: 7/10
    Bike: 10/10 (when it works)

I ordered my Spark Mini from Windsor. It took about 6 business days to arrive (not bad, considering it was free shipping for a very big and heavy package).

Its my first eBike ever, so I don't have anything to compare with. However, I'm really enjoying it! It's a very comfortable ride, and the quality was higher than expected (although, I wasn't sure what to expect!). It ramps up to 32km/hr very quickly and handles inclines very well. The bike was pretty much assembled out of the box. I only had to install the seat post, pedals and handlebars. It comes with a set of tools that you need to assemble it, so don't worry if you're like me and don't own that many different hex keys.

Overall, its an amazing ebike and you won't be disappointed.

I’ve had this bike since the end of August, I use this bike 5 days a week as a commuter to get to work. It works perfect in all weather conditions. Even hardcore rain. (Just need waterproof clothes) I’m very satisfied and I haven’t had any issues with the bike. Lights are bright in the night time as well! Highly recommend!

We bought 2 Spark X Leisure’s at the end of June. They were delivered promptly and damage free. I assembled them in under an hour without any issues. My wife’s bike was missing a couple of bolts that hold up the rear mud guard but that was resolved with an email and the hardware arrived in a few days.
We were unable to use them for about a month because we were entertaining family from overseas but now that things are back to normal we have been all over the place on them! They are powerful, fast, well built and with plenty of battery capacity to go a very long way!
These are heavy bikes but the pedal assist makes riding a breeze. Just got home from a ride just under 40k and my battery was still at 90% and I wasn’t pushing too hard today.
We live on a series of trails and these bikes are a great alternative to ATV’s.
I can’t say enough or recommend this company enough. Amazing bikes and excellent customer service!
