(January 13, 2020, 9:26 pm)Our charity partners use the most efficient, impactful and sustainable way to fund someone access to clean drinking water. CAWST is a charity funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation that teaches people how to fish as opposed to giving them a fish. They teach people the skills to build & maintain biosand filters - a 3 stage filtration process. Once they have this training, we provide them with the funds, almost like a startup grant, to go out and build biosand filters for their entire communities! This is done through True North Water, an organisation that funds all their admin separately, so they have a 100% model and also empower us to provide GPS coordinates to each customer that makes an impact with their purchase. Every single unit funds 1 person with clean water for life & this changes everything - saves lives through health, time to learn & opportunities to break out of the poverty cycle.
