Stayed here on and off for a few years had its ups and downs but I wouldn't be in the good place I am now without these folks

We were left homeless after I lent most of my money (Rmillion)to two different family members few months before my trip to Canada. I waited almost three years to come and as I arrived in Canada, still expecting them to pay on promises. It never happened and after a month, I became homeless, hungry, emotional, cold, tired... My two sons tried to help us financially even though they just both started new jobs after studying.

Shane is from Canada and through much injustice and ridicule and false blame, everything was "lost/taken" in some way.

We been living in a tent in a urban forest, we had no food and really cold as we only had one sleeping bag and most times, Shane wud be out cold just for me to be warm. He then one morning came upon your shelter. Immediately you supplied two sleeping bags, offers of shower and doing washing. Gave us most delicious, biggest ever chocolate muffins and bread with ham cheese and tomato and mayo. So lovingly put together and with compassion. We feel energy and I could taste the love and care in making it too. A juice, an apple. We slept warm that night, we had abundance of food received from you. We are on spiritual journey so you can imagine the thankfulness and gratitude we had and Shane Gave Thanks, the way we Honour. You and the sponsors/donators Working through Great Spirit to help the needy. Us. 🙏💝

The days to follow, you gave us clothes, you gave us more food. I am vegetarian, I couldn't believe when Shane brought a burger from your shelter and it was vegetarian! Most probably the best vegetarian burger I had in many many months, fresh lettuce tomato onion and sauces to go with nearly packed in another packet. and two other beef burgers, two sandwiches a juice, small pack of chips and an orange.

A kind black lady made us coffee after we asked if we cud sit down and have a warm coffee one morning. She made us two coffees and we walked around, enjoying the moment and the Gifts of Love.

Wow! I say thank You from the bottom of my heart. I will never forget the kindness and compassion from staff. Where nothing is too much.

I am an alternative healer and councillor iny country, South Africa , and I would love to offer to be a volunteer for your shelter one day. Shane is an alternative healer also, more shamanic if I may say...and start spirit circles where he goes and help those with mental disease and addictions as he has expereinced and been in communities where he always help in some other way unselfishly. I consider him a very wise councillor and know psychology and human psyche better than anyone I have come across.

I thank the staff here. There friendly staff but I only been here for extreme weather.
Slept on a mat on the floor it was as comfortable as it could be in a shelter.
They provide coffee and snacks and sandwiches.
