Once upon a time one looked forward going to the border, now it's a frightening experience.
What can I say the customs agents are always polite to me in a very stressful position. A few years ago a customs agent was shot in the neck well in her booth.
These people are doing a job that is Canada's first line of defense for smugglers, lunatics and sociopaths. Yet they are always bright cheerful and engaging on a job that requires a high degree of training in so many aspects of life. I'm glad its them not me.
