Nakoma Club

What a beautiful place it is. Safe and calm and cozy place. It is located in winsorgate. They have swimming pool and table tennis and basketball places.

great place! pool seems clean when it’s open, i wish there was another basketball area. it’s always full.

Used to live here. Such an amazing, beautiful area with perfect view of Burnaby Mountain. 10/10 would rent again

There is a lot of space in the gym, but not that many variety of machines. Can totally use one for building up the chest. Like a barbell bench or some sort of bench press machine.

A bar just for doing pull ups would be nice too.

Facilities are always tidy, staff are usually friendly and the hours are pretty good (6am to 10pm). The pool is only open for a short while of the summer season. The gym is available on a first come, first serve basis. The exercise room is not very big, but has two sets of free weights, a handful of machines, two benches and about five(?) ellipticals and five(?) treadmills. It would be nice if there could be a squat rack and benches that adjust positions added, but otherwise, it is a decent workout room.

There is also a crafts room, table tennis room, two foosball tables and a TV area. The movie theatre room is available for rental for $30.

The upstairs party room is available for rental for $130 which comes with use of the big BBQ and outdoor garden area but all national holidays are off-limits. I don't really understand why that is. If you rent the party room, I would recommend making a very visible sign to tape to the door indicating that a private event is happening. I rented it previously for a BBQ and our guests left their belongings inside while we were eating outside and random people kept on ambling in. The club had printed an 8x11 paper that was posted to the side of the door and no one paid it any notice.

There is also a guest suite that rents out on a max. 4 day limit, of $80/night.
