(September 1, 2020, 8:52 pm)Great campground for families. Stayed for 7 days in late August when daytime temperatures hit the 30s. Because of the heat, we lived in the river. We were in sites 67 and 68; from there, it took about 10 minutes to walk to the river for floating 1-2 hours down to the trestle bridge. Most times, we stopped halfway at the riverbend swimming hole where one can fish, jump off the rocks into 10-20ft deep water, and splash about in the shallows with the younger kids. Use floaties that can handle very shallow water or prepare to stand up and wade past some of the rapids.
The outhouses are all flush toilets with sinks and they’re each situated a comfortable distance from the sites (along with the potable water taps). The main shower house is around a 5 minute walk and is next to a great playground and bike park for the kids. The showers were consistently l clean and warm. They close them between 1-3pm daily for cleaning (but that’s optimal river time anyhow).
Because of recent forest fires, the reservable sites further away from the river have lost their foliage and protected those sites less with the shade and privacy we expected. Only the group campsites have power outlets if you need a way to keep your devices charged (no wifi but all of us had 1-2 bars of LTE reception). The sites themselves fit an SUV + tent + camper + canopy snugly, and a car + 2 tents + bug shelter amply.
We would definitely go back again and book a group campsite. -

(August 20, 2020, 3:50 pm)Probably the best campground in BC. Beautiful sites separated by lots of trees and foliage; a river runs along two sides of the area making for perfect floating and swimming, as well as nice trails for hiking. We come here annually and it's always a pleasure.
