Dr. Jiwani asks questions, listens, and is forthright with her answers. Her experience definitely shows. I was looking for a veteran as I wanted to get my health dealt with so I was looking for someone with autoimmune experience. I was referred by another patient with colitis. Colitis is scary especially when your specialist is threatening surgery, so I was glad to see a naturopath with awareness of my situation. I felt like I was in good hands. I now understand the way she is with autoimmune patients as she herself has autoimmune so she understands the pain and frustration. Her recommendations provided dramatic relief. It has been four months and I am now free of symptoms, no bloody diarrhea, gut pain or terrible gas. I feel great and am happy to be able to see a theatre movie without running to the washroom. I can’t wait to see my specialist to share the good news and piss him off, just kidding he’s a decent doc.

I am writing today to people who are sick of being sick. I was, after suffering daily from autoimmune disease (ulcerative colitis) for 13 years. I spent most of those years in physical and mental pain, in too many doctors' offices, and in endless internet searches, until I found I could not trust the often wildly contradictory information, the dangerous drugs, or the unconcerned doctors' increasingly alarming warnings. I was physically and mentally weak, had left my job on a sick leave, and did not know where to turn. I recall being on some internet search and, after getting to the same nowhere again, I called Dr Jiwani's office in tears of frustration and fear. It was the best thing I could have done. At the first visit, Dr Jiwani. made sure I felt better and hopeful about my health and prospects for improving it. She asked questions MDs don't consider, and do not ask, since their interest is relieving symptoms (which is simpler and more profitable for doctors and the pharmaceutical industry,) rather than trying to understand and address causes. Dr Jiwani had good news for me on the first visit, and because she has suffered with serious illness herself, I felt, then and now, that I can trust her and her advice. In the 15 months since I have been seeing her, my health has improved beyond anything I could have hoped for. I am off harsh drugs, free of symptoms of illness, gaining healthy weight, eating better than I ever have, and running up hills, whereas not even 2 years ago I was leaning on lamp-posts. Her approach is science-based, and yet, while she is extremely knowledgeable, she is also kind, generous with advice and time, always positive, and takes an interest in her patients' whole health. I get stronger now every day, and look forward to leaving illness even further in the past. I wrote this in the hope that someone else might find the relief and better health I have by seeing Dr. Jiwani.

When I found a few bald spots in my hair, I panicked. I started the doctor recommended steroid injections but I still kept getting new spots on my head then I started losing my eyebrows & patches in my beard. Shaving my head was not hiding it anymore. I found Dr. Jiwani because of her experience with hair loss and alopecia. She is confident and to the point and now I get why. I feel justified in telling people about her as she’s much cheaper than others I researched and she has decades of experience.

I took my 14 year old son to see Dr. Jiwani as his kidneys were failing. We were hopeful as she came highly recommended. Our first visit was intense and I couldn’t believe what she felt the diagnosis was, and how she planned to address it. I had trust because of her reputation and am glad we followed through as Dr. Jiwani has reversed my son’s disease. He was at 20% kidney function and after 5 months his kidneys are working at 66%. I am just frustrated that doctors don’t believe in natural medicine, as my son could have ended up on dialysis, needing a transplant.

When I was over 200 lb bloated and falling asleep at my computer and very frustrated because my GP kept telling me that I’m fine I got referred, by a friend, to Dr. Jiwani. Blood test for food allergies was a solution to my problem. It turned out that I was eating all the wrong things. Thanks to her I’m feeling and looking great, full of energy and vitality.
