I have worked with a few handyman services, but Peter was the best out of all of them! I found him to be honest, hard working, dependable, and knowledgeable about all aspects of taking care of the home. I usually go with businesses found in the BBB, but when I hired workers from franchised businesses, the quality really depended on who you got. I took a chance on Peter based on the website information and our email communication. Everything you need to know about his services can be found on his website and he quickly responds to both phone calls and emails. Peter does all the work himself from assessment to completion with the help of a secondary worker at times, so there's little chance of communication problems with what is expected to be done and is actually done. If you're ready to do work, have him come in as soon as you can as he can get booked up easily. He does work for a ton of commercial retail, so he's obviously dependable as they have been using his services for the past 5 years. If you want an estimate, but don't want to commit right away, I recommend paying for an initial consult as that money will be well spent once you give him the contract. His fees are not set as it really depends on what you want done, the supplies needed, and the amount of time it will take. I ended up adding a bunch of stuff to my initial estimate, so of course I would expect an increase in the bill. It was still lower than what I was expecting as he spent many hours working on some of the more difficult items on my list. It's true they say that you get what you pay for, but Peter's work was above and beyond my expectations and so he was worth every penny and then some! If I had a question, he had an answer. If he didn't have the right tool on hand, he knew how to problem solve. My husband was really amazed at the amount of knowledge Peter acquired over the years. He even gave pointers on areas that we could fix in a more economical way. The savings is in the fact that he saves you time, energy, and stress. Get the job done right the first time. Don't try to do the job on your own if you think you can, but have never attempted to do so. You'll save money in the end. I recommend making a wish list and see how much you can get done within your budget. I will do this for the next time I hire Peter. I appreciated how Peter allowed my husband to get involved and learn a few handy tricks of the trade. I don't know if my husband helped or impeded the work, but he did learn something! We had everything from patchwork, flooring, to electrical done. He's a jack of all trades for sure! If you're looking for a cheap worker, don't call Peter. If you're looking for quality work done at a very fair price, Peter's the only person I would call! Seriously... If it's broken, he really can fix it!
