An excellent spot for a run ,or a walk with your dogs and or horses on some trails ,there is a 10 km + route around the lake with plenty of bird watching and other wildlife, including a turtle nesting site ,there is a dog park just off the main trail and playing fields near the archery and modern plane fields.

(March 9, 2019, 3:02 pm)Nice place to get out and visit nature for a jog or a walk trails go all around the lake. They also have boat rentals. Nice to get away from hustle and bustle of the city. .

(March 8, 2019, 6:22 pm)The trails are great in the middle of summer when the sun is angry, they are very shady and cool. The mosquitoes come out in the early evening in giant swarms and will eat you alive, so avoid that if you don't like mosquitoes. There's also turtles here you can sometimes see walking around. Last time I was here there was a baby squirrel that didn't mind having its picture taken from only a foot away.
