The place was nearly full when we arrived, and it looked like the bartender came out from behind the bar to help the server get caught up because she was taking care of nearly the entire dining room. Despite this, she took care of us in a timely fashion, and provided us with excellent customer service. I had a cheeseburger and fries, and my wife had the chicken strips and fries. The fries were very, very tasty, and that burger was spot on! The chicken strips tasted like they came out of the freezer, but I liked them so I finished them. All in all, great meal, and I recommend!

(August 9, 2023, 11:31 pm)The Horse Thief is a good little pub with decent food. Stopped in here for lunch, and had the beet salad with chicken.
The salad was flavorful, with a nice balsamic dressing and feta. I got a chicken breast for extra protein, and it made for a healthy light lunch.
My wife got a cheeseburger with a smaller version of the beet salad as a side, and enjoyed both quite a bit.
Service was great, and the atmosphere was cozy. -

(August 4, 2023, 6:53 pm)We visited on a busy Saturday night and had a delicious meal in a great atmosphere. Our server, Erin, was awesome and made us feel very welcome. The food was great and there was something on the menu to suit all four of us, including an amazing beef dip sandwich. As four tourists from the UK, a few days into our Canada road trip, we really appreciated the attentiveness and friendliness of Erin and head chef, Jason, who went above and beyond to look after us.

(June 26, 2023, 2:28 am)Cool place, food was good and our server Chris was excellent. He took the time to make thoughtful recommendations and we would up with some interesting dishes. My friend said the burger was the best he's had in recent memory. The bacon wrapped shrimp was tasty, as was the Greek salad. I'd go back.

(June 24, 2023, 3:25 am)Second visit , ordered the hamburger with cheese,mushrooms,bacon. Came with fries. Hopefully next time I come in the fries are hot and fresh. Disappointed that yes the outside were Luke warm and inside was cold. The burger and the mini pirogies were very good. The half order was just right. The service was top notch. Friendly, and attentive. Smiling and fast. Lots of seating and nice location. Parking was a bit crowded. Usually a good sign the food is good.
