(September 2, 2023, 7:08 pm)Our experience with Sunshine was great ! Gord who did the orientation with us was an awesome guy!
We took the sunbreezer house boat for 4 nights and was newly renovated so that was a plus and on our first night we were all new to house boating so didn’t know much about it and didn’t have any lights out first night so in the morning we had someone come out and all he did was flip a switch in the engine bay. It was late too so couldn’t call anyone.
Everything was perfect after that until we got hit with a wind storm the second night and we ended up loosing a stake luckily someone saw us and brought us a new one (you’ll get charged for $50 and won’t know till the end of your vacation. Talked to someone on the phone about it and said I didn’t think that was our fault so she was nice enough to drop it to $25) with the wind storm we were getting rain too and the bunk room has a water leak from the light on the roof in there which is also a safety hazard for passengers plus all your clothes and stuff gets wet on the top bunk.
Following into the 3rd day with all the rain going on we couldn’t get our generator going luckily Gord came out and got us a new one.
We did have a small accident that no one knew about that scuffed the paint off the wall in the back of the boat which did cost a $100 for them to paint over. (I’m assuming this because any other damage in the boat was just painted over previously)
Our last night it got pretty cold on the lake and someone closed the window in a room and and the window shattered and will cost ya $250 and that’s totally fine but we should’ve known to do our own inspection first because anything could’ve been wrong in there maybe there was a small crack in it already.
Other than that the experience with Sunshine was great everyone had a good time and we’re very thankful for this. -

(September 1, 2022, 1:08 am)Took the kids to the floating Waterpark today and had a blast. Prices are very reasonable and the attractions on the park are a lot of fun. The lake felt a little chilly at first, but fine after a few minutes. There are no ladders to climb back up if you fall, but instead handles on sloped pads that were way easier to climb up than other water parks we’ve tried. Make your kids’ day and check it out!

(July 25, 2022, 10:24 pm)We rented the suncatcher for three nights and it was a fantastic stress free vacation. Beautiful clean and well maintained boat. Staff and crew were really helpful in getting us out on the water with everything we needed. Definitely doing this again next year!!!!

(July 12, 2022, 6:42 pm)We had a group of 17 gals on the stubble jumper. Having been house boating before I was super impressed with the layout of this boat. It has 4 bathrooms, and could very easily sleep all of us.
We did boat around for a bit, but found a great beach close to the American boarder that had protection from the wind, fire pits already built, and a ton of drift wood that you could burn for fires. Along that beach of you walk up the hill you can get to some cool path ways and hike around a bit.
The water is gorgeous, and the lake drops off very quickly so we were able to jump off the back of the back even when we were parked. Shockley, it isn’t a very busy lake either which was great.
I would recommend bringing a hand towel for the kitchen and the bathrooms as well as extra garbage bags!
Will be looking into houseboating with Sunshine again, they were marvelous!
