(June 28, 2023, 10:47 pm)Great trail with poor instructions for access. Well maintained and lovingly crafted. Tons of switchbacks and steep hills. Caution and good brakes are a must. Took the trail North from Fairmont Hot Springs. Trail end about 5kms short of Invermere where a paved city trail (not nearly as well kept) takes over. Great ride overall. Our trip was 61 kms return.

(June 6, 2023, 11:49 pm)Would rate this trail a 10/5!! Clean well paved trail wondering though the beautiful area. Excellent markers letting you know how far you've gone or have yet to go. Several areas to dismount and sit as well as bike tool stations if a minor repair is necessary. Honestly, they've thought of everything! Fantastic information stop/signs that tell the story of the development of the trail. Lots of parking available but NO garbage bins, so PLEASE take everything out with you. It was a honor to be able to ride this trail that is good for any biker regardless of skill level. Enjoy!

(April 27, 2023, 12:18 am)This is a beautiful paved bike trail that runs for 24 km from Invermere to Fairmont. There are some pretty good hills, but what you have to go up...you also get to go down on the way back. It's lots of fun!

(July 22, 2021, 2:19 am)This family-friendly trail linking two communities on the west side of the lake came together because of a massive effort that brought together everyone in the community, as well as several levels of government and major land holders in the area.
Located just beside the parking lot at the North end of the trail, adjacent to an outhouse and several picnic tables, the kiosk tells the story of the trail and lists all of the people that donated to help make it happen. It's a testament to what we can achieve when we work together!
If you are with young children, or pushing a manual wheelchair, you might want to avoid starting at the North end of the trail and instead start at the second parking lot, at the south end of the first segment and then head south from there. The first segment has some very steep hill climbs and there are numerous places where you would not want to fall off the side of the trail.
Take it slow and easy and enjoy the rapid changes in vegetation and habitat along the way! If you're lucky and watch closely, you may see several bird species you're not likely to see elsewhere in the valley in drier areas.
