What a great place to stop in for lunch! You can't miss the bright green truck and the lovely treed courtyard is quiet and shady and has lots of comfortable places to sit. The food is delicious and we were back on the road satisfied and ready for our next adventure. Try the Bao buns and the cherry Cola, the prawn salad rolls were also yummy.

I stopped to get a bite, after 10 hours on the road with a restless 1 yr old kitty named Sly. The truck has a nicely treed patio area for shade in the summer heat. The outdoor dining area is large enough with picnic tables that are spaced far enough from each other for a sense of coziness and you don't feel crowded. It has ample parking and it is really an intimate kinda setting, that was unexpected on a service road along the highway in Fernie. @ 63y/o I do not have the voracious appetite of my youth, my point is the Chopstick gives you more than ample portions in my opinion. They bill themselves as Vietnamese Street food, and man I am hooked. I plan to stop every time I am going through Fernie now, because I now have a reason. I was pleasantly surprised at the generous helping of BEEF in my bowl. I'm not kidding, there was enough that I made this meal into 3 meals, the mixture of legumes and veggies and noodles was intoxicating, if there is such a thing in food. I also got one of their large lemonade drinks to quash my thirst on a tinder dry and hot summer day that was buzzing with the thump of fully loaded Helios dipping water out of the Elk river, yet the tree canopy of their patio eating area helped insulate us from the intensity of what was going on around us. We were delayed 3 times going to Creston from wildfires, the Chopstick was such a welcome reprieve from the chaos of this wildfire season. I tied sly to the leg of the picnic table and had an enjoyable meal under the cooling branches of the trees. I am sorry I am not more precise in what I ordered, but I will follow up on my return trip. Fernie is such a cool old town with loads of downtown history, the Chopstick is a perfect fit for this mountain resort town, I took Sly the kitty for a good walk around the BMX track at the Fernie Aquatic {Center 250 Pine Ave, Fernie, BC V0B 1M2}, a good place to cool the family off on a hot fire season day, a good reason to get off the highway, there is a splash park for the kids to enjoy and a super cool BMX park.

Don't miss out! I had the noodles with crispy tofu, amazing!!! Light but filling and oh so tasty. The people running the truck were so friendly and accommodating, and explained anything we asked. You can add your own sauces and coriander at the end with I love, because I'm all about the sauce but I hate coriander so that was cool to have the option!
Reasonable price and great all round experience, defo recommend! Thank guys, ill be back :)

In my opinion, this place serves like freestyle / new age food opposed to fusion food. It's not like typical fusion food in the city... They have their own cuisine and flavour going. I tried the beef bao bun tacos and they had Philly Cheese steak vibes minus the cheese. Didn't taste Asian at all except for the bao buns comparable to T and T supermarket frozen bao buns. But it is unique and it did taste good in its own unique way. A little pricy as it was $16.00 for 3 tacos but fun to try. The staff are friendly and they have some creative menu items going on.
