(June 1, 2018, 10:10 pm)This is a remarkable Cowichan Tribes ancestral site. It is a special place that preserves the ancient landmarks left by people who lived here for millennia. It's location alongside Somenos Creek, and nestled in the Garry Oak and camas meadow reminds us of the prosperous lives Cowichan peoples have long had. A great place to walk respectfully encounter a space that Cowichan people taught hard to protect for past and future generations.
