Wonderful company and staff, responded very quickly to my call, were very kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. Came at the end of the day to give a quote and were not pushy about booking services or trying to upsell services or products. Did a wonderful job, didn't leave a mess, and put up with my kids telling stories all day. Steve was very helpful and explained everything so well, will definitely call them back for our next plumbing needs!

Service from booking on the phone with AJ to the plumbing tech Andrej service was excellent. They managed to squeeze me in within the same day I called, and gave plenty of heads up before Andrej came. He was very very helpful and was very thorough in explaining and even taught me a couple things! He went out of his way to give the house plumbing a cursory check to make sure all was good despite only needing to fix my shower. Andrej put tags on important parts of the plumbing so I knew what was what in case I had to shut off the main valve and etc. He was very professional and pleasant and finished the shower repair efficiently. Would 100% recommend especially for people who are clueless about these things like me 😄

Completed a very detailed assessment on sump pump. Turned out to be an electrical issue, but was very thorough. Super helpful and provided recommendations. Service came at no charge which was unexpected but very appreciated. Would recommend services to anyone looking for reliable, and knowledge tradesmen!

This is the 2nd positive review I have posted for Gideon Plumbing. For someone who does not do reviews that says something! In addition to their excellent customer service (yes, that does still exist), we had a myriad of plumbing issues; spa tub motor not working, venting issue in bathroom, exterior hose bib replacement, installation of expansion tanks on all four water heaters, sink tap repairs and boiler repairs that they dealt with in a TIMELY manner. This list sounds tiny and simple but most items required troubleshooting and problem solving to the nth degree. I cannot even begin to list the amount of effort it took to solve some items that have plagued us for years (not to mention paid over and over again for the same poor results). Sadly, many of the problems were due to code violations from previous plumbers. Code is written to keep your equipment and home safe! How can that be ignored? Thanks to Jordon at Gideon Plumbing I finally feel safe and comfortable in my own home. Don't wait until you at wits end of contact Gideon Plumbing. They are based in Duncan but have included where I live, Salt Spring Island, in their service catchment. I promise you will not be disappointed.

After moving to a new home, we discovered a leak in our plumbing a few days after moving in. I found Gideon Plumbing through a Google search, and the reviews were so impressive, I decided to give them a go. I called first thing Tuesday morning, didn’t get through or leave a message, but within five minutes I received a call back from their office. I explained the situation, mentioned it wasn’t an emergency as it was a slow leak into our crawlspace. The receptionist was incredibly professional and friendly, she said they’d do what they could to get us in within the next few days.

By the end of day one, they called and said they’d try to get us in the following day. Unfortunately they had some emergency calls and phoned to let us know it would be another day before they could come. I was so impressed with them updating us to let us know we were still on their radar and that we could expect them the following day.

The next day, I got a call that they would be able to come by within the next 15 minutes. They showed up, diagnosed the issue, gave us an estimate on the spot and the work was done within a few hours, no fuss or muss.

The techs were incredibly polite and professional, explained everything as the job was being done, and there were zero surprises. The only surprise was the speed at which they attended the issue and the fairness in their pricing.

I’m definitely a customer for life! I’d recommend anyone who needs a job done well and fairly priced to give Gideon Plumbing a call!
