Amazing! Showed up on a rainy and John was making himself some pizzas to take home and said that it’d be 35-40 minutes until another pizza will be done since everything is from scratch. He was kind enough to offer us one of the pizzas he was going to take home so we could make our 5 o’clock ferry! So nice. John asked us for our names and we’ll be sure to stop by next time we visit!! The oh hell yea is the go to :)

Thoroughly enjoyed our first pizza from Jon. We will be back for many more. The tomato sauce was just spicy enough and the toppings were generous and yummy. Absolutely first rate pizza 🍕!

Great service from Jon on a very rainy winter day, Jon gave us some free samples of his bagels to snack on while we waited for the pizza which was delicious! 10/10 would recommend this small business! Will be back in the summer :)

We visited Hornby Island at the end of August and can honestly say John and his delicious pizza was our favorite local experience! We didn’t realize how early everything closed, and found ourselves without groceries, and 2 hungry kids. John actually opened the kitchen back up and made us some amazing pizza while we waited, the conversations were just as good as the food. You have to try his brownies… they were actual magic 🪄 Thank you so much for the kindness and nourishment John! It was a pleasure. Kati, Andy and the kids ♥️

What an excellent pizzeria you have Jon! Thank you for feeding us on your bike tour! Nick and I had a half and half pizza - Betty’s choice (maybe not quite the name, it’s pepperoni with banana peppers)and the Ziviolita. SO TASTY. We were the lucky ones as we had the last pizza of the afternoon before you closed to prepare for dinner. We were able to pack the rest of the pizza away and eat it after we completed our cycle around Hornby and Denman (then drove back to Courtney). We were fueled by Jon, Betty, Zivoilita and company! :)

Folks, if you haven’t tried this place, it’s worth it. They may have to close between 2-4 to prepare since all their ingredients are fresh and homemade. Ziviolita is the newest favour of pizza named for two old school friends Zita and Violet. Zita’s partner also works at the pizzeria and he helped out immensely (apologies, I didn’t ask your name!). Thank you for everything all!
