  As someone who tends to always fall on the edge of skepticism when it comes to any form of therapy; because of many failed attempts to get ahold of my mental health, Kate of Hard Knox Counselling provided the space for me to have major breakthroughs and reconciliation to my anxiety and grief from childhood and recent trauma. She is incredibly understanding, compassionate, validating, knowledgeable and such a gift of a listener; I have never felt more heard and relieved in my life. Kate and the EMDR process have been essential to my mental awareness, growth, recovery and overall mental health.

  Kate provides a safe, professional environment to help people deal with trauma. I found Kate through a long decade of searching for a solution to an issue that has plagued me all my life and she was able to deal with it with her training in EMDR therapy where many counselor's and doctor's in my past were not. I recommend Kate to anyone that has issues that seem to hang on no matter what they have tried in the past to resolve; when the 'solutions' prove inadequate. Kate is truly gifted in what she does. She has my lifelong gratitude...

  Before Kate i was struggling with day to day living. My thoughts were scattered and I had difficulty completing tasks no matter the size. After working with Kate I felt like I had my brain back and could not only think, but learn again. I’m so thrilled with my results and give her the highest recommendation.   Kate offers an atmosphere that is safe and comfortable. Her genuine concern is refreshing. Kate possess an instinct that allows her to push at the right time and hold when a moment of reflection is what is needed. EMDR is a path that forges a pathway through the most egregious trauma and Kate is skilled and compassionate enough to travel with her clients.

  Kate changed my life!!! She’s intuitive, direct, very skilled, insightful, caring and she thinks outside the box. Her EMDR work absolutely changed my life - deep traumas resolved in only a couple of sessions. She gave me supplementary resources, and felt like a friend the whole way through. Highly recommended!
