As a kid i went here with my school for a field trip. Felt like a rainforest it was so thick.
Is just not the same since the Okanagan mountain park fire.
But its grean again and the views are breathtaking. With the open spaces there is so much to explore now.
Hike out to the end of one trail head and you might end up at rattlesnake island overlooking Peachland.
I cant wait to hike it again!

Very few humans. Lots of deer and other creatures. Beautiful scenery. Challenging trails.

Lots of trails and beautiful views of the lake. There are over night camping trails.

How do you rate a parking lot...? Well, I suppose it does what is does. There is a generous amount of gravel parking and you could probably fit 30 cars in it. Great view too. There is rustic drop toilet at trailhead, a map, and even extra walking sticks kind users have left behind. It is exactly what it is: A place to start your epic hike up and away into the park along trails long used by first nations and people and early settlers. Be sure to read up on the history of the park before hiking.
