Watch Lake Lodge

Had a great camping trip here with the family! The cabins were cosy and we loved using the wood stove for cooking! Beautiful location with boat rentals and horseback riding.
The cabins were electrified and equipt with everything you need to cook and eat. The Dimps family keep the place clean and maintained and we can't wait to go back.

I used to be a regular here for horseback riding in the 90s and decided to visit since we were in the area and the place is exactly as I remembered it. Dimps is still working away and always a pleasure to chat with. She is still riding the trails daily. We went for the 10am trail ride and it was fantastic. We rode out to a pasture past a lake, and the scenery was great! Depending on your confidence and experience, you get to gallop when the group does and if not you get to trot, which is still fun. The majority of the ride is walking and trotting and you will be in single file being led by Dimps or her ranchers. Other reviews were chapped that you didn't get to go off on your own but this is a trail ride and in a line is how they go. You are not renting a horse to go off on your own, you are riding the trails in a guided fashion. My horse was Bailey and she was wonderful and I even got to gallop a little bit but she didn't want to too much. Overall my girlfriend and I had a blast and we cannot wait to go back. It was her first time and she could not have been happier with the experience. Thank you so much Dimps and Olivia for making her first time amazing.

We were beyond excited to go to Watch Lake Lodge this year. I went as a kid and couldn’t wait to take mine. The cabins are exactly as they were and as they should be. You well your water, cook on a wood burning stove, ride through beautiful scenery and relax at the lake. The boot selection is incredible, the staff is amazing, the store is full of goodies the kids love and you honestly can’t find a more relaxing and beautiful location. It’s the perfect place for a family vacation and to unwind. We can’t wait to go back.

Been going there for 30+ years and have never had a complaint. It's like staying with family. Rustic, bare bones camping with a Pioneer feel. Great for families or couples who just want to get away. My children will likely take their families one day.

My family has been coming up for 4 generations and we absolutely love it up there. The staff are wonderful and the animals to. The cabins are amazing and they have wonderful views of the lake. It’s a home away from home and it’s our favourite place on earth. It’s rustic and cozy and it’s a good place for people who like being outdoors. The horse rides are one of our favourite parts, the horses and staff are amazing and help you ride safely if you are scared. Its the week we look forward to the most and can’t wait to be up there again.
