  The tea room was fantastic the first few years it was open. Now it has become much more expensive and the menu even as of last year was much better. I still go and still enjoy it but I miss the times when it was not touristy and reasonably priced. I'd still recommend it but mostly now because of the grounds. I must admit I admire the volunteers who help there and the Tuesday morning plant sale.

  Great food, staffed by volunteers. Great experience with staff trying to accommodate our large group.

  I was a little surprised when we went for tea at Cary news as I was expecting more of a high tea kind of menu. However the food that was prepared for us was beyond expectations.
  I was very impressed by the home brewed ice tea. We also had their desert of the day and the only issue was it wasn't really for sharing. This is because it was so good I didn't want to share.
  The volunteers we're super friendly and extremely helpful. I will definitely be going back and bringing friends.

  Love it!! Tea on the patio, great service and style. Check the costume museum.
