I landed in the hospital with Diabetic Ketoacidosis which is a life threatening condition and was extremely ill. I had been placed on a bunch of different meds to control my diabetes. I was so sick that I was not allowed out of hospital even though I had gone through a lot of insulin therapy. It was very eye opening and frighting to be in such a bad spot.
Upon release I was referred to Revive and it has been life changing. I was on heavy doses of medication and taking insulin to control my blood sugar and had really poor blood work.
Since July I have been following their sage advice and adopting a whole foods plant based eating plan and fitness regime. I am very proud to say under the advice and care of Dr. Pewarchuk and Dr. Saluja I no longer take insulin, I have drastically reduced my medication in-take and my health has returned with a new found abundance.
Unlike so many in the medical community that just pile on the medication, they have completely re-tooled my approach to managing my condition and my life has taken a huge turn.
I am eternally grateful to this very committed and dedicated clinic that has taken a very different approach to patient care and if you want to get your life back, do yourself a favour and get a referral.
