Matheson Lake Regional Park

Very scenic park with some nice hiking trails. We did the Matheson Lake Loop Trail with a four year old and a six year old and it was perfect.

Quite excellent especially to introduce your children to manning a boat,using oars etc. There’s only one bathroom and one of them tended to be cleaner than the other but being close to MyChosen Cafe is nice because you make one final stop before you arrive or you can eat at the restaurant or feed your kids snacks and things on the way back either way it’s an even and a blast for sure. If you haven’t been you should at least go once. The drive is also beautiful.

Beautiful place with an easy go around the lake trail with a small beach on the south side where you can enjoy the sun and the warmer lake's water,then the ocean's.i loved that they have public toilet, in order to preserve the nature.it was a peacfull joy to walk in the forest.enjoy nature!!

Easy hike around the Lake. Can get a little muddy in the fall, so you may want to bring a towel for your furry friend. You can cut the hike short and walk back on the Galloping Goose, or go all the way around and find the nice lookout on the far cliffside. Worth the drive out, as its usually alot less busy than most lakes in the area.

Nice park and lake. Lake has a walking trail around it and a small sandy beach. Stocked with rainbow trout annually which is fun for the kids. Use bright powerbaits left too float just above the bottom.
