Urban Grocer

I love coming in to your store. You have a great selection of food at a reasonable price,plus the best smoked salt in town!!! I would like to note one thing though that I have become disappointed in... :( When you started selling fried chicken it was awesome!!! Now unfortunately it is nowhere near as good. The foil bags that you have adopted for packaging instead of the boxes you used originally does horrible things to the chicken and the breading is now soggy instead of crisp and the chicken itself was wet and frankly gross. Unfortunately last time I was in for the second time I purchased (against my better judgement) three packages of your fried chicken to go with salad for dinner for my partner and I and welllllllll...to make a long story short we wound up throwing the fried chicken out as it was completely inedible as it was the time before this as well. This doesn't mean I will stop patronizing your store but I can't see me buying anymore of your fried chicken which kind of sucks as I used to enjoy it so much. Cheers... PS. One final thing is that the foil bags you now use can not be recycled where as the boxes could be...

I am glad you have temporarily removed your fried chicken from your products until you can find a suitable packaging alternative,this is very forward and proactive thinking on the part of you and your team. I think we have all been affected to one extent or another by the supply chain shortages. It must be very frustrating for you and the company.

As I stated in my review I will continue to patronize your store as it really is a great little grocery store that offers high quality products and some very unique products...in short your store sure beats the heck out of the big stores for quality,variety and all at very competitive prices! I also love the amount of locally sourced items you carry! Plus your staff have always been a pleasure to deal with.

I finally got in to shop at Urban Grocer. I will be honest I was a little hesitant. Urban Grocer Was not the store I expected it to be though, it was 1000 times better. Everything thing in there was a reasonable price (and I am kind of cheap, i am not just saying that). They had lots of products I have not seen before. The staff was amazing and helpful. It will definitely be a Grocer I use often. And I 10/10 would recommend shopping there

The perfect grocery store! It is so tidy, with all of the can labels facing out, and everything laid out so neatly. Whoever stocks the shelves does an amazing job. And the staff are so kind and helpful. Today I bought a cooked chicken and a lovely young woman offered to wrap it in plastic. She also came and wrapped a rubber band around my egg carton to prevent it from opening. They go above and beyond. They also have a really wide selection of quality products. I also bought their ready made chicken ceasar wrap and it was the best wrap I've ever eaten. It's a true pleasure to shop here!

Since they opened in the neighborhood Urban Grocer has saved me many times times when I've been in need of something for dinner or a missing ingredient! Freshest produce and beautifully organized. It's amazing having this store join the neighborhood!
