My mom and I have both used Dr. Schaafsma for our eye car and are more than pleased. He is very professional and caring and his staff have been wonderful to the two of us. I lost my snap on sunglasses barely a week after purchasing them and they had a replacement ready for me to pick up the following week. Living on a little island, it is wonderful to have a pleasant and caring eye care professional coming over once a week to see to your eye-care needs.
Dr. Schaafsma was professional, the office staff was disappointing. Just a note for individuals to check their health insurance to find out their coverage. We were sent out a card to come in a year later after our fist exam. At this time, I asked the office staff about our coverage. All that was said to me is that I would get the money back through blue cross and that they do not direct bill. Wrong...every two years we are covered for the 2 adult exams. Also a note, my hubby and I do not have significant issues with our health. I would have waited for another year to do the exam.
So I main disappointed is not being told about the process and I think this is dishonest. I was expecting that money back. What should have been said is, you should check with your insurance company on how often you are covered,
