  The CANOE Brewpub was a wonderful stop after a morning spent wandering the city. The beer I had - the Witbier - had a wonderful biscuit and toffee note in the middle which only made me want more. A pot of the mussels was delicious - I highly recommend asking for a bit of extra lemon - it compliments the cream sauce perfectly, and once I tried it, I couldn't stop adding a bit to every bite. A final course of the maple pot was a delicious treat - a rich and creamy pudding that looked too small when it first arrived to the table, but proved rich enough that both of us tapped out when we got to the bottom of the dish.
  
  I especially enjoyed the ambiance inside the restaurant as well. It is open with little lavish touches here and there - richly textured wallpaper, a large gilt mirror suspended from the rafters, and a large picture window looking out on a greenhouse type area that was full of rich vegetation, even in the depths of February. I can't imagine how beautiful it must be during the warmer months!

  Great bar, good beer variety. Live music was great, they showed great variation. Good atmosphere and no cover!

  We had a group of 12 ladies. It was pleasant. Some felt the waiter was rushing a bit. We had to ask for menus to order desserts. Otherwise it was a great dinner. Nice drinks. Great atmosphere.

  Great ambiance, views and service. The menu lacks a few of my quintessential pub orders but the stuff they have isn’t too bad. They’ve generous portions but are tad bit expensive. Seating arrangement is nice and spacious. I had the veggie burger which was slightly dry but the flavour was great. Decent sized side of fries. The Chicken wings only come in one flavour and it wasn’t bad. Tacos are a surprise package. They are marked as a starter but are meal sized when combined with a side of fries.
