I recently went there for the food and it was awesome, delicious and mild spicy. Price is also less compared to other Indian restaurants, quantity of the gravy is more. So i would suggest ordering rice along with gravy.

Ramesh (experienced chef, owner) is kind and he is open to customize the dish as per the requirements of the customer, if you need spicy or mild let him know. I will recommend this place.

I wish them a great success and long running.

Currently they are running from sooke museum place, wish they get a permanent place to run it fully.

Kurry king is the best Indian restaurant in Sooke by far. They have great selections for vegetarians, it’s over all a great family business to support. Would recommend the dosa

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone debating over this or Indian Delight Bistro (also good) :)

Fantastic Indian food from a great family business, all the curries we have tried are class and the paratha and dosa are beautifully made. Curry here is a lot better than Indian Delight in Sooke which is also very good in fairness.

Ok, I rarely write reviews but definitely needed to do this for the lovely folks that run Kurry King at Sooke B.C! This has been a pending task for the last 2 months and finally made it today.
We visited Sooke during end Aug, 2021 and were a group of 5 families. Many of us in the group are vegetarians and prefer indian food. Initially we were worried about limited food choices at Sooke, but honestly Kurry King made it seamless for our entire group. We got to know the Chef and his family, they took care of our food needs literally offering to make whatever we wanted whether on or off menu just so that we could have an enjoyable stay ! I also found out that the Chef has worked for over 10 years in Disney & Carnival cruise before deciding to establish his roots in Sooke BC for his family. The food quality and taste was exceptional , and more important was their willingness to ensure we were well fed to enjoy our stay at Sooke ! Oh, plus the local tips about the night market, where to park at potholes etc., were super helpful. Thank you Chef R and to your family !!
So any one who is visiting Sooke, if you just love Indian Food and especially if you are a vegetarian .. you will be in heaven ! Enjoy and Bon Appetit...

This is one of the only restaurants in Sooke that offer great vegan food and are so accommodating and genuinely nice people. The beautiful family that run Kurry King make everything in house and you can tell it's with so much love! If you are vegan and GF try the dosa with your curry, so fluffy and delicious! We are so impressed every time we eat here! So much love goes into their food. Thank you so much for what you guys do!
