  I cannot recommend Blue Dog Kayaking enough! Both the private lessons I took to work on my roll, as well as the Paddle Canada Level 1 Instructor training course I recently attended have been fantastic experiences. Dave’s passion and enthusiasm for the sport of kayaking sets Blue Dog apart, and is directly responsible for the marked improvement in my paddling skills. I will be back. Thank you!

  Recently completed a half day kayaking trip. The scenery was beautiful, but we were not very impressed with the guide. Our group became quite separated during a crossing even though the guide specifically told us that she wanted us to remain in a tight formation. Additionally, I felt unstable within the kayak I was given and when I asked about this I was told it was due to bad technique (quite possible) and to use my core more. I assumed the guide was correct, but as the trip went on I came to the conclusion that this was not true and I think I was placed into an ill-fitting kayak and I would have enjoyed the trip more if I had switched. Additionally, my wife needed a bit of instruction and when I hinted for my guide to give her some tips none were forthcoming.

  Highly recommend booking through blue dog. Girlfriend and I booked the half day tour and had an wondeful time. Amber was very knowledgeable, professional, and a spectacular tour guide.
  
  Will definitely book another tour the next time I’m in the area.

  Awesome morning tour, saw a lot of wildlife. Kayaking is a lot of fun and Amber was a great guide

  Great Experience I was a complete beginner and by the end of my holiday I had received my level 2 kayaking. As well as learning a lot about kayaking, camping and the local area I had unbelievable amount of fun. Dave was an incredible instructor building my confidence up the water, encouraging to push myself and test my ability whilst always making me feel in a safe learning environment. I could not recommend enough and I look forward to visiting next year (maybe going for my next qualification and also trying out some of the other activities blue dog provide).

We stumbled upon Blue Dog Kayaking and booked our Basic Sea Kayaking course with them and had Bree as our instructor. They have been fantastic to deal with, and our day out on the water was a ton of fun.
