  I walk here often. Always lots of people all year round. And it's pretty with nice fresh air blowing in. My only complaint is Saanich doesn't seem to enforce their bylaws. Or another way to put it is 'watch where you step' ... I have stepped in dog poop about 5 times in the past year.

  Can be crowded and busy at times but it's a great place to bring the kids. The playground is imaginative and interesting - I loved it as a kid and I'm glad my kids enjoy it now as well. The beach is nice, even in the winter. Parking can be challenging at times.

  This is a fantastic beach and a great place for the family. I love the fact that about a 1/3rd of the beach is open to dogs all year round which is rare to get a beach open to dogs in the summer. Since its only a section, dogs and families can both enjoy this place and has some great places near by for food and a great park to walk around with plenty of parking (although summer months can still get quite busy). This park was ranked one of the top 10 in the world for uniqueness, and won't take long to figure out why.

  Great beach in the morning. Get there for sunrise. It's amazing anytime of the year. The bay is relatively sheltered and unless you catch a high tide you can walk the entire length of the beach. Lots of parking. A great place for taking the dog out.
  Go once and you'll keep coming back for more.
