(December 11, 2017, 11:35 pm)Very busy during the salmon spawning season. Parking lot usually filled to capacity during this time making it difficult for finlayson arm residents to drive to and from their homes. It is a close spot to town for city slickers to see a bit of nature.

There’s a friendly visitor centre, open by donation (suggested $1 for children, $2 for adults).
The salmon run path leads all the way down the river to the opening of the estuary and meets the visitor centre.
Well worth the visit.
Path is well maintained. Observe the natural habitat and stay on the paths! -

(January 15, 2017, 9:12 pm)Stunning scenery but limited parking and poorly signed trails. Lots to see even when the salmon run isn't on. There are some fantastic hiking trails (including Mount Finlayson) that start here and maps posted of them, but also many unsigned forks in the trails. Super busy in the summer but great in the off-seasons.
