  Im 16 and just got my first actual eye exam here. The doctor was very friendly and had awesome humor while at the same time getting his job done within a good amount of time. He described everything to me in a way I understood it, so i knew what was going on and, in my situation, decide if I personally needed glasses.
  When it came time to look at and pick out frames, the staff was really helpful. I probably tried on ten different frames in front on them and no one made me feel bad about it at all! They have a super nice selection.
  Since it’s the Family Day long weekend, I didn’t get my glasses as quick as some other people said they recieved theirs (understandably), so I have yet to review those, but regardless, this is an amazing place for all your optical needs and I don’t feel like ill ever need to go anywhere else.

  I purchased product and services from Esquimalt Optical 4 times so far. I was very pleased and surprised by the excellent service and product quality. The business managed to combine the efficiency of a large business with the personal feel of a small local business. Customers will never feel like just another number of a large corporate chain store.- Raymond L

  I am so happy with the experience I had at Esquimalt Optical. I went in on a Friday with my prescription, and by Wednesday I had my glasses. I had already had my eye exam at another place and I had such a different experience I wish I had the people at Esquimalt Optical do it. I had no pressure from the staff, they let me choose my frames, I tried on a ton of styles and you know what was the most fun part of the experience, I got to see the optometrist working through the open windowsill that looks through to the work room. Like, there was a couple with their kids who came in while I was in and the doctor and Dayna knew their names and it was such a community moment. I have to say Dayna really kicks butt when it comes to choosing frames, she knew just my looking at me at which ones would fit and suit me. Both the doctor and Dayna spent time to help me find what I needed and I recommend Esquimalt Optical to everyone. I wont go anywhere else, even if I move. I think they a rare gem in professionalism and customer service. I have to mention how much I love my glasses too I got a Fysh UK frame and they are very comfortable and flattering.

  I have been at Esquimalt Optical many times and have never been pressured at all by the owner. I had a serious detached retina about 12 years ago and my eye sight was changing a lot and a prescription was filled and shortly after my eye sight changed again. He did not charge me when he could have. Russel is a good man and has a 5 star Dr. Brian C Friedmann come onsite for eye exams.
