(September 15, 2021, 9:13 pm)We went to Lokal Kitchen for breakfast. The menu had most of the breakfast options that you would normally expect plus a small handful of Korean fusion breakfast items that looked interesting.
I wasn’t overly hungry, so I was quite pleased to see a number of smaller plates - with even smaller prices. Honestly, many of the prices were shockingly low. I don’t think I’ve seen this kind of value at a sit-down breakfast for years.
The quality of the food was perfectly fine for all of us, and I would comfortably say it was better than average. The ambiance of the restaurant was also better that what you would expect at more breakfast places. The service was acceptable, but not really any different that you would expect anywhere else. -

I ordered the Korean fried chicken thigh which was very juicy and paired nicely with the honey mustard.
The cream risotto was delicious and the meatballs were sweet.
The rose seafood pasta was a pleasant surprise as it had a full deep fried crab in it like the sushi shops. -

(August 23, 2021, 8:27 am)Service is always excellent. The fried chicken never let's me down ever. The crispy batter that's perfectly seasoned, the moist boneless chicken and the sauces that pairs so well. Honestly, one of the best places to get fried chicken in all of Alberta. The BBQ plate is also very tasty, nothing too salty or bland. The meat fall off the bones. The Japchae is also good, perfectly seasoned. It could use a bit more soy but that's personal preference.
