(April 27, 2022, 2:00 pm)I've visited Cattail twice, at the beginning of this season and last season, both times because we were able to get great rates on green fees.
For what we paid - and the opportunity to get a round of golf in 2-3 weeks before many other courses were open - it was worth it.
Currently, the greens are very rough. It was opening weekend I believe, and apparently staff was doing a bit of a trial clumping bookings, practicing to get up to pace for summer weekend levels of busyness. They weren't quite able to manage with what also appeared to be a new booking system. You could tell there was confusion between the starter and the pro shop, and we definitely didn't get off at our scheduled time. Some groups requested to start off the back to lighten the load, so I imagine it would have been a very slow day had they kept everyone teeing off on the front.
That said, staff were very friendly, helpful people.
Hopefully, the timing and the course will improve over the season.
It's a fairly open, links style course. Not recommended for a windy day. -

(April 25, 2022, 3:15 pm)This is a fun golf course for the beginner to intermediate golfer. You can't get into a lot of trouble from tee to green but there is water and OB areas that will claim errant golf shots.
An excellent value for a round of golf. -

Great music, great service, friendly manager and staff. Summer was a wonderful waitress! Will definitely be going back! Pork Buns were the best!
