(June 10, 2023, 5:43 pm)One of the most relaxing vacations I had in a long while. Fox Lake Retreat is quite remote, the nearest town, Hanna, is about a 10 min drive away. As a result the cabin we stayed in was so peaceful! The second cabin of the two was rented at the same time but that family went away on day trips so we had the whole place to ourselves.
Our dogs had plenty of space to run around and we were even able to take the body board onto the lake a couple of times.
The variety of birds and their songs made sitting on the balcony with a book and a beer the most tranquil experience.
The owners house is a short walk away and she made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed.
I will definitely stay again some day. Maybe bring some friends and rent both cabins. -

(September 27, 2022, 1:39 am)A group of us booked the two cabins for our first " Girls Weekend Getaway", we had an amazing weekend!
The cabins were beautiful. Lots of room, clean and had everything that we needed.
The view was breathtaking!
We will definitely be back!!

(February 3, 2022, 3:23 am)Fabulous friendly hosts, great location. Cabin had everything I needed and the view of the lake was excellent, my dog loved it way too much. And the people in the town of Hanna are so friendly it felt like home. I would recommend and hands down value for money.

(August 16, 2021, 3:21 pm)Every amenity you can think of, beautiful equipped cabins and stunning location. Perfect for a weekend or longer. As writers we found it the ideal spot for inspiration and contemplation.

(September 6, 2020, 7:16 am)We absolutely loved staying here. The owner is very responsive and helpful but not overbearing. The location is gorgeous and so so relaxing. Near enough to Drumheller and myriad natural areas but providing solitude and isolation. We didn't want to leave! Can't wait to go back!
