(January 16, 2022, 8:55 am)Always a good choice, lots of wildlife and birds to see. The kids absolutely love it here. The harmony playground is great different structures can be used to make sounds, there's also a slide. Wishhart Trail is great but be prepared it's about 4 or 5 k long, I wouldn't suggest taking this trail with a stroller or anything but it could be doable if you have good wheels on your stroller. Plenty of boardwalks to check out. And lots of signs telling you about the plants, animals, insects, and history of the area. In summer definitely bring bug spray and water. Also in summer they do a goat run, where they heard goats down the trail, the kids love to watch them running. There's also an information center with a gift shop and bathrooms. They do lots of cool nature learning activities that you can sign up for.

(November 7, 2021, 11:35 pm)I love this park! Very pretty and fun walking both directions. I come here often with my girlfriend and she loves it too. Tons of birds going about their day. There are wild raspberries along the trail. Seen rabbits and tons of squirrels. Would recommend!

(August 2, 2021, 3:35 am)Great walking experienced. There are uphills and downhills along the way. There are scenic spots that you can really enjoy the view. Some gravel and some are paved pathways. Lots of birds chirping around. Lots of trees shades. We saw some deer running around the bush. Highly recommended for walking.

(July 24, 2021, 5:34 am)I visited here for the first time today and was blown away by the time capsule of genuine nature curated here. The path and steps are kept in excellent repair. There are plenty of points of interest as well as some amazing views. I have never seen a better variety of trees and flowers all in one spot except for maybe at a botanical garden. The staff were friendly and helpful. I cannot wait to get back here again to experience the park in the fall, winter and then spring! Alberta needs more places like these. 💚

There are many walking trails throughout and one that leads to a lookout over the water where you’ll likely see waterfowl and potentially other species of birds. The lookout has a tower viewer that’s free to use if you want to get a better look! Closer to the nature center there is a decent sized park with a musical area and a large slide. Front here you can drive, walk or bike a few minutes down the road to Mackenzie trails where we’ve seen a few moose. This whole area is a great place to explore and is great for the whole family
