(July 3, 2022, 1:25 am)20 min wait ends up being 30. Not off to great start but they did offer a couple free drinks (turned down) . Get home and the “salad” was chicken on lettuce. Missing cabbage carrot and tomato as advertised on menu. Good news is the chicken was very good - didn’t care for/need the sauce that came with. The honey cheese chicken order was AMAZING. Debatable if we will return due to slow service and missing ingredients.

(June 23, 2022, 4:20 am)The chicken is deliciously juicy inside, perfectly seasoned and crisp on the outside. The skewered squid legs with a sweet mayo based sauce were a perfect mix of sweet, chewy and tender. The pickled radish had a nice blend of vinegar and sugar. The past couple times I tried takeout, tonight was our first dine-in at the restaurant. I washed my meal down a boozy Soju, which to me tasted like vodka mixed with sake, in a good way! They also have Sapporo on tap. The server (owner possibly?) was amazing and welcoming. What a great spot!

(May 14, 2022, 11:34 pm)We love Uncle K! My go to dish is the Katsu Curry which is mild and so flavourful! My husband has the Assorted Katsu and loves it (and he is picky). The pumpkin Croquette is amazing as well. Just the right amount of crunch with a tasty pumpkin inside. Mmmmm.!

Chicken fried restaurants seem to be popular these days.
I've been to many places, but this Uncle k is the best of the best.
First of all, it is a very crispy dish and the sauces are very unusual.
We could realize the passion of the chef's cooking, and I would like to give an additional extra stars for the kindness of the staff.
Also, the perfect temperature draft beer is excellent!
However, I live in Calgary and it is a pity that I cannot come often.. lol
Absolutely Recommend!! :) -

(May 3, 2022, 5:09 am)Took a long time to get our order, but I'd say it was worth the wait and the price. Very crispy, juicy, flavourful and saucy. Got the sweet and spicy one but next time I think I'll try soy garlic as that seemed to be really popular
