(June 15, 2023, 2:29 pm)First time going to the Keg for breakfast and it was really good, priced reasonably ($16 French toast), our server Rianne was friendly and attentive and the coffee was dark and strong.

(May 3, 2023, 9:35 pm)Like to give it five stars but that means really exceeding expectations. Still, as Keg's go, this location was somewhat better than others in terms of ambience and comfort. Too bad that, like the rest of Banff, it seems wedded to the river rock Adirondack meets West coast post and beam decor.
The Teriyaki steak (what made it qualify as teriyaki? - couldn't taste any distinct Japanese or umami flavour) came grilled perfectly medium rare along with well prepared grilled vegetables. Accompanying wedge salad was great.
Only complaints (talking minor here) were not being warned about how hot the plate was (I burnt my finger rotating the plate), the dullness of the knife (steak was reasonably tender so problem was the knife - acknowledged by the server) and, my constant dislike about The Keg, their use of 1 ounce versus the common industry standard of 1.5 ounce mixed drinks.
Service from front reception to dining room was kind, attentive and unhurried.
Would definitely go to that location again. -

My wife and I we order a calamari ($19) and a steak and shrimp with mushroom rice ($53). For drink we order 9oz red wine which I think was too much for us, I will order only 5oz next time. But the flavor of the food and wine was amazing plus the atmosphere of the restaurant and Banff itself made our dating night went to a next level. 😋🥰
The server was nice and polite. Food arrive around 10 mins after we order which is considered fast at keg restaurant. I will visit here again 💯. -

Not only was the steak dinners far beyond mouth watering goodness but this specific location also has a breakfast/brunch option 🤤 Our server Mike was exceptional and attentive. Steak cooked to perfection and the brunch buffet was very filling😋
