This was our first time at Waterton Lakes in Canada. The town is so cute! We had a great time shopping at the gift stores and ate at The Thirsty Bear, Trappers Grill, Pizza of Waterton. Great food and drinks at all of these locations. Our room at The Waterton Lakes Lodge was perfect. The staff at the front desk was very helpful & the staff at Vimy's were very nice.

The front lobby is nicely done. I can't say so much about the buildings the rooms are in. Dated and in need of renovations. Maybe it was because we were in a pet friendly building, but for $250 a night, I expected more. There are no phones in the rooms and no one at the front desk overnight. I ended up calling the emergency number on their voice-mail at 3 am, as it sounded like a child was being tortured next door. Nothing was done, and the only option I was given the following morning was another room in the same building, directly under the screaming child, and right beside the entrance. I ended up requesting a refund for the next night that I had paid for and went home early. Very disappointed. Do better.

The highlight of my stay was the warm welcome I received from the front desk staff, particularly Matt. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in our plans and hiking preferences made us feel valued as guests.

Matt went above and beyond by providing us with a wealth of hiking recommendations. He took the time to write down the trail names for us, which was extremely helpful. His knowledge of the area and enthusiasm for outdoor activities added a personal touch to our stay.

The room we stayed in offered good value for the price we paid. While it may not have been the most luxurious accommodation I've experienced, it had all the essential amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. The room provided shampoo, conditioner, paper cups, a fridge, and a microwave, among other conveniences. However, it's worth noting that slippers, toothpaste, and toothbrushes were not provided, so remember to bring your own.

Fantastic location, excellent service. Our room was comfy, quiet and a mix of updated and slightly tired furnishings. Location right in town can't be beat and the pool/hot tub/steam room were a welcome treat after days of hiking.

I’ve stayed at Waterton Lakes Lodge Resort twice now. I went last year in the off season in early October and again this summer. Both times were absolutely lovely. The lodge is clean, well stocked, and located right in the centre of the town.

This summer was made especially great because of the large park and splash park located right beside the hotel. We enjoyed cooling off there during the hot days. The lodge staff was friendly and made our stay enjoyable.

We will stay here again!
