This is organization is full of supportive artisans who are open to, and, willing to share their knowledge. Resources available include equipment and an extended library for the use of members. The courses are led by skilled makers and teachers. Really, so many good things to say! I am glad I found this group!

This organization is wonderful. I have used the library for fibre arts magazine and books, I go to the twice monthly felting nights where I made some new friends and learned about connections and suppliers, AND they bring in awesome felting and dyeing instructors. I also picked up some great handwoven throw rugs at the annual sale.

I have attended many workshops and classes and am impressed with the level of skill and instruction in each class. What I have learned cannot be found in any book; the art is highlighted by expert use of equipment and materials, hands on learning and they teach the love of the fibre arts. The camaraderie of this group keeps me coming back!!

I’ve had the pleasure of taking a spinning class prior to joining this fine group. This active group offers day and evening study groups in all levels of weaving, spinning, knitting and felting study groups. Most meet weekly with some every two weeks. The Edmonton Weavers’ Guild also offers weekend workshops in all disciplines that relate to fibre, include dyeing, and wool preparation. They also provide various demonstrations thought out the year in order to share their love of these various art forms.I find this guild to be forward thinking by bring in other Canadian and international teachers that exposes members to new ideas and techniques. They also encourage members to share their projects and provide opportunities to instruct in the various study groups, and teach workshops to the fibre community.
