The mine was super cool to check out. Lots of historic stuff and things to see, it was very neat.

Also shout out to Charlie for all the information he provided and the hospitality. We really enjoyed our visit!

I went on the mine portal hike and tipple tour with a young man named Charlie as tour guide, extremely interesting to learn the history and see the coal plant and also with Charlie as guide made this experience worth the long ways out and cost he was very funny and full of information and left nothing behind on detail. Great place to walk around and explore and feel the past. Charlie made this place feel exciting but also explained the hazards and cautions around us very well, spectacular man and super caring and well at his job! I recommend for trips.

Interesting place and some interesting history. We went there at 4 pm hoping to ride the train but they said we missed the last one. Also they were finished with the tours for the day. I recommend going in the early afternoon. But I still enjoyed what I could see and do there.

It's a very interesting place to look around. We're from UK touring around some of Alberta. There are 4 different things you can do, just walk around the lower area, book to go have a look at the mine, go on the train (it wasn't running when we were there) or book the operational tour. Whatever you do you will need enclosed shoes. The guides seem very helpful(we didn't do a tour). You can spend quite a while looking around. This, I think, caters more for adults than young children. We had a good time. One thing I would say is that it would enhance the venue if they incorporated a small café of some sort. This would bring in funds for the project and would help towards any restoration work that needs to be undertaken.

Awesome historical place with lots to see and learn about. The drive to and from makes it worth the effort.
