Ordered 7-8 menu items and all where exceptional... You can tell it's "home made" I would love to see this place in Vancouver...

are you kidding me? best chicken i have had since i visited Kentucky on a buisiness trip. the quality of all the food all 3 times ive been here was great and the staff go above and beyond to give the freshes t chicken and the pieces you prefer. the mother clucking sandwich is by the way the best combination of unique flavors ive ever experienced in my life. this place is way underrated for the amount of work they obviously do to make everything from scratch (aparently even the sauces and pickles are made in house)
it isnt cheap 'fast' food, its real food. wish i lived closer

This place is inside the local CO-OP, with friendly and trendy atmosphere.

I ordered 5 piece fried chicken with potato-egg salad as side.

Side salad was about 5 dollars and 5 piece chicken is about 20 dollars.

Price is little higher than Popeye's or KFC.

The fried chicken was just ok for me.

Batter is somewhere between KFC and Popeye's spicy flavor.
Initial bite is crispy but not as crispy as Popeye's, with slight spiciness but not as salty as KFC.

Chicken has base seasoning that feels quite salty for me, that overpowers the chicken.

Not sure what they use in the batter, but it retains a lot of oil, not very light. So by the end of first piece, it feels quite greasy like KFC.

As for the potato salad, it could be personal preference, but potato feels undercooked for me. Otherwise it is unremarkable.

Overall, for me, it's no better than KFC or Popeye's or any other number of fried chickens anywhere, but with modest premium on price.
