(November 13, 2019, 8:34 pm)I switched my home and auto from an area broker to Desjardins because I never ever herd from my broker except once a year at renewal when my rates kept going up. After years of me having to call them at renewal and ask for "brokerage credits/discounts" I got sick of it. No claims, no tickets, home and auto were aging gracefully yet it costs more to insure each year!? Pump the brakes! Hard No! Desjardins in Royal Oak matched my rates but more importantly provided a very satisfying client experience and Ali educated me and my wife about mortgage and life insurance. I was so happy I told my mother about it and she got a quote for a home in Canyon Meadows and a 2012 Chrysler 300 and it was $1600/yr cheaper than Intact. She's now switching now too.
