Brewsters lake bonavista

I have been here when it is busy and when it is not so busy and the food and the service is the same both times, service like the server was doing me a favor by waiting on me and the food less than mediocre. Sorry I wanted to give this place a very good review because I support local business and this place is local for me but I just can't bring myself to lie when it comes to these reviews. Our server was less than thrilled that we sat in her section and she made us aware of it deep sighs and looking like she would hurt one of us if we asked for anything more. We opted to eat drink and leave, I don't remember having such a person serve me like this before I had been here, none the less she still got 20 percent of our total bill because that is the kind of person I am besides I don't know what is going in her life she may have some personal problems to work through but it should never come to work with her when she is in the hospitality industry that being said maybe she was just having a bad night, I will go back and try to sit in her section again and see if that was all it was because like I said I do support locally. The food was ok but I know they are using a microwave in the kitchen because my plate was smoking hot but the food was not, better invest in some microwavable dishes so the food is as hot as the plate. No flavor and and no finesse when throwing our meals on a plate, it looked like it had already been digested if you know what I mean but this place was not busy so how hard is it to get good service and a meal that looks better than it tastes? Apparently it is very difficult. I only ate a quarter of my meal and when finished was presented with the bill before I could finish chewing my last bite, WOW were we so bad that you had to make it evident you wanted us to leave, I gave better service to the server myself than she did to us, I guess more so than the food it was the service that would make me not come back although I will to get a second opinion, if I am treated like this again it will go in a another review that is actually read by more than a few people. You see that's the problem you never know when you are going to step on the wrong toes in this case mine and I may write little funny reviews for Google but it is my profession as well, too bad that I support local I'll just keep coming back for more but when does it end? Cheers!

Awesome to have this right in our neighborhood. We have gone a few times with family visiting in the last few weeks and had fantastic service every time. Great food and beer! We have a baby and don't get out much anymore, but love that we now have somewhere close by that we can have a meal out with the little one!

Brewster's is always a good restaurant. Quality craft brews and food. This location is nice by the lake, but the patio on the parking lot is kinda a downer with the cars. Also a bit pricey for amount of food you get.

Excellent chicken fingers. All sides were delicious. Ordered 3 chicken fingers and sides to split between 3 hungry people and it was more than enough. Tried one of each side: sweet potato fries, tater tots and classic fries. Delicious! Food was piping hot. Not overly greasy. Service was so-so but I only review food, basically. Decent prices.
