Its got an outhouse and lots of room to park....thats good...but there is a serious lack of signage and trail markers. There is a random network of multi use trails leaving the parking lot.

Hiked on a Sunday early afternoon. Several people but not too bad. We took two dogs without any issues. Rock canyons were very cool. We hiked up the river bed quite a ways after passing through the rock canyons. Had lunch then came back. Way less people after the rock canyons. We hiked without spikes on our shoes, there were some icy spots but most of it was fine. I would recommend bringing spikes though. Would definitely do this hike again!

Small adjacent parking lot so people were parking on the road, even though there is another parking lot across the highway... Easy access to the canyon: go through the trees until you hit the dry riverbed, then follow it up. Its fun for kids if you don't expect to get very far - mine wanted to climb everything. Because of the recent snowfall, you're not walking over many icy sections.

The Jura Creek hike is a relatively easy hike. Great for families. The parking lot was more than full. The trail is well traveled and easily followed. The trek through the narrow canyons cut by the water is beautiful. The views from the valley is stunning. No wonder its such a popular hike
It's also a short drive from Calgary.

Right across the highway from an industrial plant which concerned me that it would ruin the hike. It did NOT. Basically a half km into the hike you can no longer hear the industrial noise. Went in the winter so the hike was actually walking IN the creek bed- it’s beautiful and a very cool experience walking through the narrow small “canyon” the creek runs through. Very slippery though, if you go in winter you really need good hiking boots or spikes. Short drive outside of Calgary.
