It's quiet, there are fire pits available if you wanted to have a fire and a picnic also there is a huge fire pit so it be no more like for a group thing as well as the Cook House. If you are expecting to get down close to the water you will not be able to from this location. There are walking trails. Many people have come with binoculars that went walking on some of the trails so that would suggest there's a bunch of waterfowl somewhere along the way that people are watching or something.

(June 30, 2018, 6:17 pm)Really quiet place. It is a very good picnic spot if you want to go and just have a picnic. Dont go if your looking for hiking. Not a whole lot there except for mosquitos the size of moose. Bring a rifle and good bug repelent. If you are looking for more hiking, than elk island is a better option not too far away. However those mosquitos are the size of elephants and attack in swarms like locusts. Wear armour.
