  I used to bartend at a Smitty's lounge 25 years ago but I haven't been to this particular place in over a decade. Bathrooms were a little bit messy but really not bad at all - about three minutes cleaning would have fixed them. And there were only two servers on duty when I arrived so the service was slow but still very friendly. All of the food was very good with generous portions, and they even had HP sauce handy. The build-your-own breakfast option is also a very nice touch. I was looking for a real breakfast that doesn't come from a drive-thru, and this place fit the bill almost perfectly. I had to dock a star for the slowness and bathroom, but otherwise, this is a great place to eat.

  Nice comfort place. The food is pretty average, the staff are great.

  Friendly service, quiet diner. I'm pretty sure the smitty's coffee tastes the same as it did 15 years ago.

  Built my own breakfast and tried out the yummy cinnamon pancake. Good coffee and great service. Will come again.

  Our waitress was wonderful. The cleanliness of the washroom was disconcerting. The coffee was just shy of mediocre.
  
  I had ordered bacon and eggs with yogurt and fruit, about $12. My oldest son had ordered from the kids menu, the sausage and eggs with hash browns, about $6. My youngest son had ordered, once again from the kids menu, Dino bites with the fruit bowl, about $7.
  
  My oldest son was disappointed because he had gotten bacon instead of sausage, his meal was the largest of the three. My youngest son was quite pleased with his meal. My meal seemed quite skimpy for $12. The meals tasted okay, I was pleased with the taste of the bacon.
  
  All in all, it wasn't too bad. However, with the condition of the washroom coupled with the taste of the coffee, we are likely not going to return. It is a shame because I recall Smitty's Restaurants having far more pride in their cleanliness and the quality of their coffee.
